About the role
This hybrid role is primarily focused on glass handling, preparation, and logistics coordination, with occasional driving responsibilities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‐on work, values safety, and is comfortable stepping into a driving role when coverage is needed.
Duties
* Manually load glass products onto A Frames and load A Frames onto the truck.
* Verify loaded product in accordance with job records and schedules.
* Check A frames are tied down safely in accordance with the Chain of Responsibility obligations.
* Record items not on the schedule i.e. urgent service items, items going on to different skips or side of the truck.
* Assist the glass processing team by working on automated glass processing machines and handling glass.
* Carry out maintenance checks on the vehicle and other items such as A frames etc.
* Occasional return trips to Bunbury, and intermittent glass A frame deliveries to various building sites in the Perth Metro area, unload glass products at the Bunbury warehouse, and manually off-load glass products at building sites.
* Follow all safety procedures related to glass handling and warehouse equipment.
* Keep work area/shop floor clean and organised.
Requirements
* HR (Manual) Truck licence
* Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility obligations
* Knowledge of safe manual handling practices
* Able to communicate with people and work in a team
* Customer focused and committed
* Pass drug and alcohol test and complete a fitness for work assessment.
Desirable
* Glass handling experience
* Forklift licence
* Experience using overhead crane
