We are looking for an experienced and motivated Depot Manager to lead our busy recycling facility and help us continue setting the standard for excellence in the industry.
Role
You will plan, coordinate and oversee day‑to‑day operations at our busy waste recycling facility. This hands‑on role requires you to ensure everything in the MRF runs safely, smoothly and in line with legislation, health and safety and internal policies.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support a team of approximately 15 staff, including transport, business support and EQHS leads.
* Make smart commercial decisions, manage budgets and maintain cost control.
* Maintain a strong safety culture and uphold a positive health and safety environment.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and internal procedures.
Experience & Qualifications
* Senior‑level experience in the waste or recycling sector, ideally with balers, clamp trucks or loading shovels.
* Experience in MRF, waste transfer station, recycling facility, treatment plant, quarry, aggregates, plastics, metals, paper, card or glass operations.
* Confident leader who thrives under pressure, inspires teams and communicates clearly.
* Strong IT literacy.
* Passion for a positive health & safety culture; IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications are desirable but not essential.
* A COTC4 (WAMITAB) qualification or progress towards it is desirable; support will be provided if not yet certified.
