Ocean Protect is a national company with offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. We have invested over 20 years in becoming an industry leader in the development, delivery and maintenance of innovative efficient site-specific stormwater runoff solutions.
This is a senior water engineering role focused on providing Ocean Protect’s internal and external customers with the best practice design solutions. This function requires close liaison within our multidisciplinary team of internal presales engineers, engineering and production personnel.
Description
The purpose of this role is to develop the specification of Ocean Protect products and services within Queensland. This will be done by supporting the sales activities generated by the Queensland Manager and generating and responding to new opportunities via engagement with engineering clients. This individual will be required to liaise with all prospective clients with a view to designing, modelling, specifying and installing appropriate technical solutions that meet the client’s needs.
Key Responsibilities
The following text outlines the responsibilities of the role.
* Provide technical support to clients and sales representatives.
* Identify and engage potential customers, optimize business opportunities, and build a client base.
* Maintain active communication with contractors, engineers, surveyors, and government agencies for any engineering, surveying or construction issues.
* Represent Ocean Protect at industry events (e.g. conferences, symposiums).
* Engage with customers to build relationships, manage expectations, and develop tailored solutions with engineering and pre-sales teams.
* Offer technical assistance at on site installations.
* Train, learn and coordinate with internal engineering and technical support
* Participate in management activities, demonstrate leadership, and maintain professionalism at all times.
Compulsory requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering
* 10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in stormwater management.
* Experience in designing, modelling and installing stormwater treatment assets.
* Chartership status preferred.
* Well-developed communication skills.
* Ability to develop solid working relationships with all stakeholders.
* Drivers licence.
