The Women's Health Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Clinical Midwife (Lactation Consultant) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Lactation Consultant provides expert clinical lactation skills and practice across pregnancy and throughout the continuum of lactation through the application contemporary practice, education and leadership to support optimal maternal and infant health outcomes.
In collaboration with the Midwife Unit Manager and the Clinical Midwifery Consultant you will be required contribute will contribute to strategies that facilitate high standards of professional midwifery practice and assure clinical safety and quality of care in alignment care standards prescribed within the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Midwife Standards for Practice.
