Our Ward comprises of 21 beds across a mix of Maternity and Gynaecological cases. We experience approximately 500 births a year and we are equipped with, 3 birth suites and a Special Care Nursery that cares for premature and unwell infants to 32 weeks' Associate Nurse Unit Manager acts as a responsible and effective team member, assists in the overall clinical management of the ward, is responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and supervision of care given by junior staff in accordance with the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia Scope of Practice and assists the Nursing Unit Manager for our Surgical/Midwifery Ward.**The Position*** In the absence of the Nursing Unit Manager, the ANUM assumes responsibilities for the utilisation of personnel and management of unit in collaboration with Coordinator.* Assists and facilitates the effective communication of the Unit.* Assists the Nursing Unit Manager in collection of audits, statistics, staff performance management and productivity analysis data.* Monitors staff levels against budget/target levels related to number of bed days, occupancy and patient acuity.
