A little about the role
As a Case Worker in the FSWS Team, you'll be at the heart of creating safe and nurturing environments where children and young people can thrive. Working closely with families and using our Key Assets Practice Framework, you will provide focused and flexible support to build their capacity to care for their children.
Key responsibilities include:
* Build strong, supportive relationships with families through regular visits, calls, coaching, and collaborative goal-setting.
* Develop comprehensive and culturally safe case plans that enable successful exit and transition planning.
* Maintain accurate and timely records in KAA's systems and actively participate in discussions with key stakeholders, both internally and within external agencies.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous learning by applying the Key Assets Practice Framework and trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches.
The base salary for this position is $88, $94,788.72 per annum (based on 1.0 FTE) + super + vehicle & fuel card + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum + remote allowance to be discussed in interview.
This position is full-time, ongoing.

We're looking for someone who:
* Holds a recognised qualification in Social Work, Community Services or a related field.
* Communicates simply and effectively, both in writing and verbally, building trust and understanding with people from diverse backgrounds and with varying experience.
* Has experience (ideally a minimum of 2 years) working with and/or on behalf of children and families, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.
* Understands the impact of family violence, alcohol abuse and mental health issue, and has experience using culturally sensitive and trauma informed approaches to support healing and recovery.
* Has a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
* Can balance administrative tasks and direct support with care and attention to detail.
