We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in procurement, with expertise in managing supply chains and ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services.
About the Role
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:
* Monitoring SAP ERP systems to ensure accurate data integrity
* Evaluating planned expenditure against budget and obtaining approval for all procurements
* Working with department heads to identify timelines required in the procurement of goods and services
* Expediting deliveries with suppliers as required
* Managing cost and schedule variations, including project approvals and issue of Purchase Order revisions
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar position
* A tertiary education certificate in administration-related subjects, such as business, commercial, supply chain, or procurement
* A sound understanding of procurement, cost, and stock control procedures
* Experience in Microsoft Office and SAP
* Strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills, and a professional attitude to deliver high standards
* Flexibility and mobility, while being process-oriented
