Position Information:
Wamberal Public School is located in a bushland setting with an enrolment of 600 students including 40 students who identify as Aboriginal. The school has a mix of experienced and early career teachers who are motivated and committed to providing quality teaching and learning with a focus on improvement in literacy and numeracy. At Wamberal Public School there are a wide range of wellbeing practices underpinned by PBL to ensure students have opportunities to thrive, connect and succeed. There is a diverse range of sporting, cultural and creative arts opportunities available for students. The school has an active and supportive school community.
Three support classes (AU and 2 x MC) operate within the school supporting students with a range of additional needs.
Selection Criteria:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with the proven capacity to balance exemplary classroom teaching with the complex responsibilities of the school leadership role.
Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to develop effective partnerships with all members of the school community.
Highly developed skills to lead effective assessment practices and analyse and use of data to guide and inform teaching and learning.
Demonstrate a capacity to lead differentiated and inclusive whole-school wellbeing programs to maximise students engagement.
Demonstrated capacity and a robust understanding and commitment to building genuine partnerships with Aboriginal students, families and the wider Aboriginal community.
General Selection Criteria:
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice

Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
