The Role
We are seeking a motivated Steel Fabrication Operator to join our permanent, full-time workshop team.
In this hands-on role, you will operate laser cutting, bending, and rolling equipment to produce steel components to precise specifications.
You will also assist with material handling, preparation, and quality control to support smooth production processes.
Key Responsibilities
Operate laser cutting machine for plate and tube steel with accuracy and efficiency
Bend and roll steel to meet specifications
Load, unload, and prepare materials for production
Read and work from job sheets and basic technical drawings
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Assist with quality control and ensure finished products meet standards
Collaborate with the team to improve processes and maintain workflow
About You
Previous experience in fabrication, workshop, or manufacturing environments is preferred (training provided for the right candidate)
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings or measurements
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Positive attitude, proactive, and willing to learn new skills
Current forklift license is highly beneficial
