About the Role
We are seeking a Graduate or Early-Career Civil Engineer (graduate to approximately 1 year' experience) with a keen interest in geotechnical engineering and design to join our team.
This role is well suited to a motivated engineer looking to build a strong technical foundation in geotechnical design engineering while working under the guidance of experienced senior engineers. You will be exposed to projects from site investigation through to design and construction support, with mentoring and opportunities for growth.
Prior relevant experience is highly regarded but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with geotechnical site investigations and fieldwork
* Logging and interpretation of field and laboratory test data
* Supporting geotechnical analysis and design tasks
* Assisting with slope stability, foundation, retaining wall, pavement, and earthworks design
* Use of spreadsheets and industry software for geotechnical analysis
* Preparation of technical calculations, drawings, and design documentation
* Assisting with geotechnical reports
* Attending site inspections and client meetings with senior staff
* Supporting construction-phase services where required
* Working collaboratively with civil, structural, and geotechnical team members
* Adhering to QA, WHS/OHS, and company systems and procedures
About You
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* Graduate to 1 year of relevant industry experience
* A genuine interest in geotechnical engineering, structural engineering and design
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A practical, solutions
* Prior exposure to geotechnical investigations, design, AutoCad or construction support will be highly regarded.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
* Australian tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or close to completion)
* Full Australian Driver's Licence
* Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong written and spoken English
* Exposure to, or interest in software such as Plaxis, Rocscience, AutoCAD, or similar geotechnical tools will be viewed favourably.
