Who we are looking for State Street (STT) is looking for an experienced media and public relations professional to join its Global Public Relations team as Assistant Vice President, Public Relations for Asia Pacific.
Specializing in media relations, this candidate will be driven, and looking to take their career to the next level.
They should have solid relationships with top-tier business and financial trade publications across the Asia Pacific continent and be experienced at proactively pitching complex stories, as well as managing reputational issues.
The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing, global environment, demonstrating a 'client-service' approach for our internal stakeholders.
They will be outcome-driven and be skillful at producing reports and analysis that demonstrate results and objectives have been achieved.
This candidate will have strong writing/editing skills, well-versed in developing media-engaging social/digital content, well organized and have high attention to detail.
Based in Asia Pacific (Australia preferred), this role will focus on developing and executing global PR strategy for State Street across Asia Pacific.
The candidate will work closely with the regional and global PR teams, business marketing functions, State Street Asia Pacific leadership and PR agencies on a daily basis to ensure media opportunities for key spokespeople are identified and leveraged, and that all necessary processes and policies are followed.

What you will be responsible for As Public Relations AVP, you will Collaborate with colleagues on the internal global PR team, global marketing and external PR agencies to create, refine and deliver differentiated media driven activity in support of the firm's corporate PR strategy and State Street's individual business units' objectives including State Street's asset management arm, State Street Global Advisors Develop media campaign strategies around the business' latest thought leadership, including topics such as asset stewardship, retirement, emerging markets, quantitative investing and private credit.
Develop or strengthen relationships with global, national and regional press contacts both within our day-to-day business.
