About the role
Working alongside another Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) and supported by a non‑contact nominated supervisor and a service support coordinator, you will have abundant resources to develop a high‑quality play‑based program. You will plan, develop and evaluate a curriculum that meets the needs of all children, assess readiness for school and provide support to children and parents where appropriate.
Duties
- Plan, implement and document a rich program that reflects your vision of a creative learning environment for children of all abilities and cultures.
- Collaborate with other professionals such as Social Workers, Child Health Nurses, Speech Pathologists and allied health staff.
- Undertake assessments to evaluate children’s readiness for school, identifying strategies and providing support for children and parents where appropriate.
- Support and guide staff in their daily work to enable the effective provision of services across the day.

Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Teaching or Education (Early Childhood).
- Sound knowledge of the Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, Early Years Learning Framework and innovative practice.
- Experience developing a rich curriculum utilizing current pedagogy.
- Ability to have supportive and respectful conversations with colleagues and families, collaborating on individualized learning programs.
- Good time management and flexibility to adapt to the daily setting.
- Commitment to intentional critical reflection to continually build practice and outcomes.
