Seeking an experienced professional for a Child Welfare Advocate role.
This position provides therapeutic support and advocacy for children, young people, their families, and carers affected by physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and/or domestic violence.
The key focus of the job is to provide therapeutic counselling and advocacy to children, young people, and their families when physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, and/or domestic violence has occurred within the family.
Counselling will be the core task of the position, however coordination of health service delivery to the child and advocacy for client interests within the child protection response will also be significant responsibilities.
This role involves working collaboratively with other services to provide a comprehensive response to the needs of vulnerable children and their families.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who can work effectively with children, young people, and their families to address the impacts and effects of abuse and neglect.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary degree in social work, psychology, or welfare and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful applicant will be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, providing a high level of support and advocacy to our clients.
