Job Title: Workshop Fitter
This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing and preparing all mould gear and ancillaries. As a skilled tradesperson you will play a crucial part in ensuring that the factory operates efficiently and effectively.
* Maintain, repair and prepare mould equipment and tooling to ensure optimal performance
* Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and improve overall efficiency
* Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify and implement solutions
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support seamless operations and improve communication
* Ensure moulds meet quality specifications and production timelines through effective planning and execution
* Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (toolmaking experience an advantage)
* Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry
* Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
* Ability to read technical drawings and follow maintenance schedules
* Familiarity with safety standards and a proactive safety mindset
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills

You will work closely with the Mould Maintenance Manager, Production and Quality teams to ensure moulds meet strict standards and are ready for use when needed. Full training provided through our comprehensive training program. The day shift is Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift. You will be paid up to $56.38 per hour, depending on your experience, plus OT. There's also a one-year completion bonus of $2500.
