Structured Workplace Learning Support Officer

Role
Responsibilities include developing strategies and support programs that assist students in improving study habits and setting achievable academic and career goals. Under the direction of the Year Coordinator(s) and Deputy Principal, duties involve maintaining and communicating information based on observations of student learning, collating and preparing data for academic review meetings, supporting academic progress, overseeing students working under study contracts, monitoring attendance, behaviour, engagement and wellbeing in the study centre, liaising with teachers, year coordinators and the VET Coordinator to ensure academic needs of students are met, assisting with theory parts of VET programs including logbook completion, and checking in with students around workplace attendance.
Eligibility
- Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before starting.
