HAYS has partnered with a global defence company that specialises in and supplies communication equipment and technology to the Australian Defence Force. They support military operations across the land, air and maritime environments and provide accessible service to strengthen capabilities within engineering, manufacturing and technical support. Their team, located in Eight Mile Plains, are looking for a new stores person to assist in their daily operations immediately.
Your new role
As our client's new Stores Person, you will have the responsibility of assisting in the daily operations of their warehouse to ensure effective workflow. Your duties will include but not limited to:
* Receive, inspect and accurately record incoming goods
* Pick and pack orders for dispatch in line with operational requirements
* Maintain accurate inventory records and liaise with maintenance & logistics teams for accurate stock take.
* Assist in inventory control and reconciliation
* Ensure correct storage and identification of materials and stock
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment
* Use of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, trolleys & forklifts
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful as our clients' new addition as their store person, you must have the following:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or store person role
* Valid High Risk Work - LF Forklift licence
* Previous experience operating both counterbalance and high reach forklifts
* Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems
* Hold or willing to obtain baseline security clearance - an essential requirement of the role
* Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
* Confident in liaising between departments, clients and logistics teams
