**You will**:
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of digital, media and public relations strategies and activities that support both OIR and whole of government strategic priorities and business needs. Oversee digital media, media interactions, media events, interview requests and written responses, media planning and execution, and issues and crisis management. This includes some out of hours duties, with responsibility shared with other team members for media communications. Support the Manager and Director to raise OIR's profile with industry and external audiences, and deliver high quality, accurate digital and media materials to support an integrated communication approach that promotes OIR's programs and initiatives. Lead the development and publication of OIR's regular stakeholder eNews subscription service for all Regulators in the portfolio. Undertake digital and media monitoring tasks as part of an issues management strategy to identify emerging issues or trends. Provide feedback and updates to the Manager and Director on the status of media approvals, requests and responses. Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the team(s) over which you have responsibility. This includes ensuring you and your team members are aware of and observing their responsibilities and obligations including under relevant OIR HSW policies and procedures. Coach and motivate agile teams in media delivery through regular feedback, mentoring and individualised support to achieve operational and personal development objectives, ensuring: - effective and reasonable sharing of tasks
- competent management of simple human resource issues and processes
- documented performance effectiveness plans
- team members' behaviour reflects the department's code of conduct
- Escalation of complex people management issue to management. Actively engage in a multi-disciplinary, agile team environment. Develop and maintain working relationships with other OIR business units to deliver digital and media services in a timely manner and secure their assistance with media engagement activities as required. Collaborate with the Managers, Director and team to organise work priorities to ensure delivery of broader organisational commitments. Generate active engagement in key initiatives through clear, enthusiastic and compelling communication. Role model and support others to work through obstacles in the delivery of projects. Provide expert and timely advice to the Manager Digital and Media and Director AEU on project progress, issues that may impact on service delivery, and new and emerging digital, media, public relations and governance innovations that may enhance team performance and awareness and stakeholder engagement activities.
