About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator of Financial Services, the Accounts Officer will handle various financial and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include accurate accounts and data processing, managing the corporate/purchase card system, overseeing Council's sundry debtors, and monitoring outstanding accounts. The role also involves providing high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, supporting the organisation's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform daily accounts and data processing with accuracy and efficiency
2. Administer and maintain records for the corporate/purchase card system
3. Manage the sundry debtor accounts, including invoicing and follow-up on outstanding payments
4. Deliver professional support to internal teams and external contacts
5. Carry out general administrative and financial duties as required
Candidate Requirements
1. Strong data entry, accuracy, and numeracy skills
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
3. Proven customer service ability with a proactive, professional approach
4. Ability to manage workload effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
6. Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance role
