About the role
Bank of Sydney is revitalising its position as a lender across consumer and commercial lending and is growing rapidly with an innovative approach to doing business. This organisation is evolving quickly in its growth journey.
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with Treasury, the Trust Accountant & Analyst Manager, is a newly created position that provides an excellent opportunity to consolidate your trust accounting skills and further your securitisation knowledge. End to end activities for trusts provide variety in the role and no two days will be the same.
This role involves supporting the balance sheet management of the bank and provide precise, timely, and efficient services and meet the requirements of building relationships with the Australian Securitisation market. Your responsibilities include ensuring the bank fulfils its contractual commitments and maintains a consistently high level of service. Additionally, you actively engage in team projects, offer technical support, and identify process improvements to help the team achieve its goals and objectives.
As a Securitisation Trust Accountant & Analyst, you will:
* Portfolio Management : Handle internal and external securitisation activities.
* Trust Management : Perform daily and month-end activities, resolve issues.
* Asset Pool Optimisation : Prepare and review allocations and transfers.
* Financial Preparation : Calculate trust distribution waterfall and funding costs.
* Record Keeping : Maintain accurate financial records and prepare statements.
* Transaction Processing : Ensure timely and accurate RMBS transactions.
* Tax Assistance : Help with tax preparation and filing.
* Facility Management : Manage trust facility processes and documentation.
* Stakeholders : Work with internal and external stakeholders.
* Investor Reporting : Prepare and deliver reports to investors.
* Counterparty Engagement : Ensure data integrity with trustees and rating agencies.
* Operational Monitoring : Review daily operations and meet contractual obligations.
* Compliance : Ensure legal and prudential requirements are met.
* Project Support : Assist CFO and Treasurer with key projects.
* Quality Assurance : Maintain risk management framework.
* Investor Communication : Address inquiries and issues related to RMBS trust accounts.
* AFSL : One of the Responsible Manager appointees for AFSL purposes.
All About you
We're seeking a results-driven, passionate professional who is ready to take the role and make it their own. You'll bring:
* Relevant tertiary education (e.g. business / accounting / economics / finance degree)
* 5+ years of experience in within banking, treasury, or finance
* Demonstrated experience in a securitisation role within financial services highly desirable
* Strong understanding of securitisation and trust manager responsibilities
* Excellent client management skills and experience
* Advanced Excel skills (pivots, v-lookups, complex formulas, VBA)
* Ability to manage time effectively, handle more than one issue at once and adhere to strict deadlines
* Strong problem-solving skills and technical mindset
* You are an analytical thinker with financial acumen. You display superior communication skills and have an ability to work under pressure
