Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised support to clients, including assistance with personal care, daily living tasks, and medication management.
- Facilitate community access and support clients to engage in meaningful activities aligned with their goals.
- A full Australian driver's licence is required for this position.
- Encourage client independence and adopt a strengths‑based approach to support clients through challenges.
- Build and maintain respectful, professional relationships with clients, families, and key stakeholders.
- Implement Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) consistently to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and rights of clients.
Manual Handling, Hoist Training and Peg training HIGHLY regarded (Mount Cotton and Cannon Hill based participants)
Requirements:
- Availability to work across a 24‑hour rotating roster, including at least one night shift per week.
- Willingness to work shorter community‑based shifts (4–5 hours) as required.
- A minimum of 6 months experience in disability support or related field is required.
