House Director – Teaching and Learning (POR3)
Xavier College is seeking a innovative and collaborative House Director - Teaching and Learning to join our vibrantGawler Belt Campus (7-12). This key leadership position is classified as a POR3 for a fixed period of four years.
Working in close partnership with the House Director – Pastoral Care, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership that strengthens teaching practice, supports staff growth, enhances learning outcomes and contributes to a dynamic, values driven College.
This role may include a teaching component and should be considered in conjunction with the Teacher Position Information Document.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and model best practice in curriculum development and pedagogical change.
* Coordinate the annual curriculum documentation process to ensure the College fulfils all national, state and systemic requirements for the implementation and delivery of the approved curriculum.
* Develop and implement strategies that use ICT to enhance and transform student learning.
* Proactively case manage students who require additional support and monitor their progress to achieve successful learning outcomes.
* Line manage designated POR Curriculum Leaders, to ensure the effective delivery of curriculum, as directed.
* Monitor developments in curriculum and initiate professional teaching and learning discussions with regard to those developments.
* Facilitate regular meetings with teaching staff, ensuring timely dissemination of information and collaborative planning.

You demonstrate strong knowledge of effective teaching practices, communicate clearly and build positive relationships and you are highly organised, adaptable and exercise sound professional judgement.
