APS6 Risk Fraud and Control Advisory (Labour Hire) is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.
The APS6 Risk Fraud and Control Advisory (Labour Hire) is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the agencies objective.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Reporting key findings, observations, trends and emerging risks to corporate committees and leadership networks.
- Developing project and business risk plans to enhance fraud and compliance prevention and detection mechanisms.
- Working with Risk Partners to support areas of the business to analyse risk, identify control gaps and develop treatment plans to support an uplift in the risk environment.
- Working with project teams to facilitate the identification of fraud prevention strategies within strategic project activities.
- Undertaking fraud risk assessments and reviews to identify areas of potential exposure in relation to fraud risk and developing strategic initiatives to mitigate risks.
- Identifying issues and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and management of fraud risk.
- Gathering, investigating and analysing information and data from a variety of sources and business systems and proposing control improvement strategies.
- Contributing to the management of the Agency's Fraud Risk Register and Controls Library.
As you will be engaging and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, well-developed communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships whilst building rapport and trust is a must.
