Responsibilities
* Process and input reservations following hotel reservations policy.
* Book room reservation requests, enter rooming lists, and update accurate information in the system.
* Answer all calls promptly, within 3 rings using the specified greeting for the hotel, in a courteous and efficient manner. Ensure that all relevant information is obtained.
* Ensure all reservations are accurately actioned within the same working day.
* Maintain an efficient reservations filing system with applicable dates, ensuring any past reservations are filed away effectively and in a timely manner.
* Consistently offer exceptional, friendly and engaging service.
* Ensure the best selection for the guest and maximize revenue through up-selling.
* Recommend property facilities and assist guests with information and special requests.
Qualifications
* Guest focused personality is essential; experience is an asset.
* Computer literate. Prior experience working with Opera Cloud or a related system is a must.
* Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
* Fluency in English language both written and verbal; additional languages are a plus.
* Warm, engaging and professional phone manners.
* Education and/or experience in: sales, customer service, hospitality or tourism is an advantage.
* Ability to navigate multiple computer programs simultaneously while conversing with guests.
