Supervisor Maintenance - Rural Roads (Regional Queensland)
We are partnering with a progressive council in regional Queensland to recruit an experienced Supervisor Maintenance - Rural to lead road and drainage maintenance operations across a diverse and growing network.
This is an initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension to 12 months.
This is a hands‐on leadership role where you will take ownership of day‐to‐day operations, manage crews and plant, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
* Supervising maintenance and construction activities across rural road and drainage networks
* Leading and coordinating work crews, plant and resources
* Planning and delivering works in line with safety, quality and environmental standards
* Managing project budgets and monitoring costs
* Undertaking inspections to prioritise maintenance works
* Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
This is a role where you will be out on the ground, not stuck behind a desk.
What We Are Looking For
* Proven experience supervising teams in civil construction or road maintenance
* Strong knowledge of maintenance methodologies, specifications and safety standards
* Solid people management and communication skills
* Ability to plan works, solve problems and manage competing priorities
* Computer literacy including Microsoft Office
Tickets and Qualifications
* White Card
* C Class Licence
* Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or willingness to obtain
