Clinical Nurse Consultant Opportunity
The Department of Health is seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant to join its team. As a senior nursing role, this position provides clinical leadership, advanced practice expertise, and guidance to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing advanced clinical assessment, intervention, and consultation for complex mental health presentations
* Leading and mentoring nursing staff to build capability and confidence in mental health care
* Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and allied health professionals
* Driving quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice within the clinic
* Contributing to service development and innovation in mental health care delivery
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated leadership skills and proven ability to manage and coordinate the clinical activities of a multidisciplinary adult inpatient mental health team
* Demonstrated specialist level knowledge and advanced practice in relation to the field of acute inpatient psychiatry
* Demonstrated capacity to effectively undertake a consultation/leadership role within a multidisciplinary adult inpatient setting
Benefits
* Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum (Pro rata)
