Family Support Worker Role

This position requires an experienced and compassionate Family Support Worker to provide case management and group work services to vulnerable children, young people and their families.

">

The successful candidate will work with families who present with complex issues including drug and alcohol dependency, family violence, mental health concerns, homelessness and cycles of disadvantage and poverty resulting in chronic neglect and cumulative harm.

Responsibilities:

1. Case management and coordination of support services for families
">
2. Delivery of group work programs targeting specific needs and issues
">
3. Establishing and maintaining relationships with community partners and agencies
">
4. Collaboration with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery
">
5. Documenting and reporting on family progress and outcomes
">
6. Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
">
">

Requirements:

">

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

">
">
* Tertiary qualifications in human services, welfare, or social work
">
* Driver's license valid in Victoria
">
* Experience working with sensitive and personal data
">
* Strong partnership working skills with other professionals and/or agencies
">
* Ability to work effectively in adult services and/or health organizations supporting older people and adults at risk
">
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
">
* Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
">
* Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
">
* Professional certification in a relevant field (desired)
">
">
