Mt Barker Medical Clinic is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team on a Permanent Part Time basis. The position is 3-4 days per week, with a rotating Saturday morning roster.
We are a fast-paced but very friendly, family-orientated private practice with 13 GPs and a fantastic nursing and reception team.
We are looking for someone who:
* Is confident, professional, honest, reliable and has a great personality
* Has excellent verbal and communication skills with an exceptional phone manner
* Has good computer skills
* Has a high standard of presentation
* Has the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
* Has the ability to be flexible and adapt to change
About the Role
* Greeting and assisting patients with professionalism and empathy
* Managing appointments and phone enquiries
* Processing Medicare and private billing
* General administrative duties
* Duties would include reception, appointment bookings, billing and general administrative duties.
Essential requirements
* Professional approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude
* Ability to manage within a busy workplace setting with fluctuating levels of demand
* Be able to work in a team environment and independently
Desirable
* Availability across Monday to Saturday
* Previous experience in General Practice
* Knowledge of Medicare and medical software systems (eg. Best Practice or similar will be highly regarded)
