Willemsen Property Corporation is a significant private commercial property investor and developer with a range of high-quality property assets, primarily based in Canberra. We are currently seeking an experience maintenance person must be an Australian citizen, to fill a key role in our building operations, fitout construction and maintenance division.
About the Position
The role will be based at our various commercial office properties and will incorporate a wide variety of tasks that varies regularly. This role will suit a person who enjoys hands on construction and maintenance tasks, working as part of a small team or individually.
The successful applicant will be actively engaged in the construction of new office fitouts and commercial office facilities maintenance.
Parking will be provided at our head office, and a utility vehicle will be provided during work hours for transport to various worksites.
The typical working hours will be 7am to 3:30pm Mon to Fri, although during periods of high workload and when required to facilitate operations work outside these hours will be required.
Responsibilities and Required Skills
* Well-presented and courteous with an ability to interact with clients, employees and contractors.
* Experience carrying out property maintenance and building repairs.
* Routine garden maintenance.
* Carpentry or other building trade skills, qualifications or experience would be beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to undertake building inspections in accordance with maintenance schedules and to complete inspection test reports.
* To diligently and proactively participate in the organisations safe work program including complying with organisations safety policies and procedures.
* To attend training provided by the employer to obtain higher competencies required to use new equipment and perform additional tasks.
* Driving licence for passenger vehicle.
* General construction industry "White Card" (training will be provided if not held).
* Asbestos awareness training (will be provided if not held).
* Silica awareness training (will be provided if not held).
* Australian citizen who is capable of obtaining a baseline Commonwealth of Australia security clearance with no prior convictions.
Remuneration
The salary for this position will be based on experience, trade skills and qualifications.
