Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of a historic museum site.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, be able to coordinate a volunteer program and manage day-to-day activities with minimal supervision.
They will also have a strong understanding of promotional activities, venue hire and event management, as well as the ability to deliver high-quality education programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the volunteer program and daily operations, including scheduling and rostering volunteers.
* Manage a variety of revenue-generating events on the site, including weddings, markets and fundraising initiatives.
* Develop and implement promotional strategies to increase site visitation and engagement.
* Deliver curriculum-based education programs to schools and other groups.
* Ensure the presentation of the museum site is consistently maintained at a high standard.
* Maintain the security of the property, collections and monies.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in coordinating volunteer programs and managing day-to-day activities.
* Strong understanding of promotional activities, venue hire and event management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
