The Location
Located on the beachside in Townsville and with stunning views to Magnetic Island, Bolton Clarke's Rowes Bay provides high-quality aged care in a friendly, secure and comfortable coastal community.
The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Chef to join our Rowes Bay Residential Aged Care team on a full-time basis.
As a Chef, you will be responsible for delivering high quality food and catering services which meet the needs of our Home and our residents.
* Ensure that delicious, well-balanced and nutritional meals are planned, prepared and presented to meet the needs of residents.
* Adapting dishes to suit dietary, allergy and modified food requirements
* Ensure kitchen, dining room and associated equipment and crockery, meet required hygiene and compliance standards.
* Purchase and ordering of stock and equipment.
* Create and maintain an environment that ensures positive and cooperative working relationships.
* Managing employee matters including rostering, training and performance
* Assisting the General Manager with associated budgets and costs
To be successful, you will have:
* Certificate IV Commercial Cookery or similar
* Food Handling and Hygiene certificate
* Demonstrated experience in a commercial kitchen in aged care or hospital
* Demonstrated knowledge of State Food Safe regulations
* Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
* Demonstrated experience managing team performance
* Complete a police check
* Evidence of Australian work rights
