As the official Tasmanian Volvo Penta Industrial dealer, we provide expert servicing and support for Volvo Penta engines statewide.
To support our growth and the opening of our new workshop in Devonport, we are seeking:
• 1 Diesel Mechanic
• 1 Hydraulic Fitter

About the Roles
Diesel Mechanic
You'll be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of commercial trucks, buses, plant equipment, and Volvo Penta products.
Hydraulic Fitter
You will diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic systems across trucks, industrial equipment, and mobile plant. Providing on-site hydraulic hose replacement services.

Key Responsibilities (Both Roles)
* Perform servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance
* Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
* Use diagnostic tools, software, and technical manuals
* Interpret technical information and schematics
* Liaise with customers and operators to coordinate job schedules

What We're Looking For
Diesel Mechanic:
* Qualified Diesel Mechanic
* Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
* Experience with trucks, buses, or plant equipment
* Understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems
* Computer-based diagnostic experience preferred
* Current driver's licence (HC/Forklift advantageous)
Hydraulic Fitter:
* Trade-qualified Hydraulic Fitter or demonstrated hydraulic repair experience
* Experience with pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and system diagnostics
* Ability to interpret hydraulic schematics
* Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
* Current driver's licence (Forklift/EWP advantageous)
For Both Roles:
* Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
* Good communication and time-management skills
* Safety-focused and reliable
* Experience with road transport, plant machinery, or Volvo Penta products is a bonus
