Biomedical Electronics Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Electronics Technician to join our District Total Asset Management Team at Nepean Hospital. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for the development, configuration, assembly, and restoration of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical medical equipment.
In this role, you will perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance with AS/NZ Standards, working independently across a diverse range of medical devices. You will also provide responsive technical support to clinical staff, ensuring safe and effective use of biomedical instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, configure, assemble, and restore electronic, electrical, and electromechanical medical equipment
* Perform equipment repairs and preventative maintenance in accordance with AS/NZ Standards
* Provide responsive technical support to clinical staff
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Possess qualifications in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering equivalent to AQF6 as a minimum combined with industry experience in the Healthcare Environment
* Be technically competent and have good knowledge of both analog and digital electronics as applied to medical devices
* Demonstrated experience with electrical safety procedures and knowledge of relevant Australian standards as applied to medical devices in Health care facilities
* Ability to work as part of a team and be capable of working with minimal supervision
* Strong ability to utilise computer software & database applications
