Disaster Response Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Disaster Response Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively in high-pressure situations.
This role involves providing strategic advice on disaster response planning arrangements and programs, as well as managing human resources, financial, and asset management functions for the area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of operational outcomes in cooperation with volunteers, while maintaining a working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines.
In addition, this role requires driving and delivering outcomes in partnership with staff from local government, other government agencies, authorities, Indigenous communities, and community groups to build capability and evaluate the effectiveness of SES programs.
The Disaster Response Specialist will also contribute to the development, delivery, and implementation of SES operational and administrative policy, equipment, and processes, facilitating post-event analysis and debriefs for the region.

Mandatory qualifications include a minimum C Class Driver's Licence (non-restricted), with experience as a volunteer or within a volunteer environment being highly desirable.
This role is a designated SES uniformed position, and applications will remain current for 12 months.
