Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Criminal Lawyer at our office in Bairnsdale Victoria, Australia. The selected candidate will handle criminal defense cases, including client consultations, legal research, case preparation, appearing in court, and liaising with prosecutors and other legal professionals. The role will also include providing legal advice on Children\'s Court and Child Protection matters, managing documentation, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
Salary $80,000pa plus super.
Qualifications
* Strong legal research, analysis, and case preparation skills
* Proficiency in courtroom advocacy and oral communication
* Experience in client consultation and providing clear legal advice
* Comprehensive knowledge of criminal law, court processes, and Children\'s Court matters
* Ability to manage workload effectively under time pressures
* Strong writing, drafting, and documentation skills
* Valid legal practicing certificate in Victoria, Australia
* Demonstrated commitment to ethical practices and professionalism
* Experience in child protection law or related areas is advantageous
