About The OPPORTUNITIES
We have multiple vacancies for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Armament) to join our Hawk Lead-In Fighter program within our Aerospace organisation. As an Armament Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will be responsible to the Team Leader for carrying out scheduled servicing and unscheduled maintenance activities across various aircraft platforms.
These positions are based at RAAF Base Williamtown NSW, with relocation support available for candidates outside the Newcastle, Williamtown, Hunter-Maitland area.
Key RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain the emergency escape system, egress systems, and aircraft weapon systems from the computers onboard to the stores the aircraft carries, plus load and handle various aircraft and stores.
* Be responsible to the Team Leader for scheduled servicing and other unscheduled maintenance.
* Ensure maintenance and technical documentation or data used during maintenance is authorized and compliant.
* Correctly and promptly record details of work performed on the appropriate documents, and gain certification of the work as required.
* Ensure all documentation for engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments are incorporated as directed.
* Report to the Team Leader all defects, deficiencies, maintenance errors, and unserviceabilities as they arise.
* Carry out maintenance only to the delegated and authorized level.
* Initiate quality, non-conformance, or defect reporting relating to maintenance tasks as directed.
About YOU
* Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade, e.g., Cert IV Aeroskills – Armament (Mandatory).
* Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
* Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to deliver work within a fast-paced team environment.
