Stott Hoare requires the services of a Hardware Repair Technician to join its Technical Team.
The Hardware Repair Technician will apply specific skills and experience to resolving technical problems for customers as well as fulfilling IT administrative activities.
They are primarily responsible for troubleshooting faults on End User Devices, identifying Parts required and then the repair plus QA of the Device.
Devices are predominantly Lenovo, Dell and Microsoft Laptops and Desktops.
Attention to detail is essential as devices must be repaired to a high standard to ensure customer satisfaction.
The role is based in our Osborne Park Workshop but some onsite work at our Customer Sites may be required occasionally within the Perth Area.
We expect constant communication with our customers to ensure expectation is set and information flowing.
Tidiness, organisation and a methodical approach are essential characteristics for this role.
The Hardware Repair Technician is responsible for all aspects of repairs including the coordination and prioritisation of hardware repair activities such as part ordering, repair quotes, stock control and part returns.
Responsibilities
Laptop and Desktop Hardware Repairs
First level contact and support
Maintain Service Desk tickets and queues
Communicate effectively with customers on expectations, incident resolution, quotes and orders
Ordering of spare parts, stock control and Vendor repair coordination
Open service tickets and invoke resolutions
Escalation to Vendors for technical support
Maintaining IT documentation
Desired Qualifications/Skills
Experience in building and upgrading PC's
Good understanding of workstations, peripherals, printers, servers, networking, access methods and mobile devices
Customer Service oriented
Attention to detail and methodical in approach
Good knowledge in MS Windows and Office
Must have excellent organisational and communication skills
CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft, Technical certifications a plus
