We are seeking a talented individual to join our Casualty Facultative Broking team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in the Sydney or Melbourne office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As the Financial Lines Facultative Broker you'll have the exciting opportunity to work closely with high-profile clients and be part of a forward-thinking global leader in reinsurance broking. You'll have a mix of client-facing activities, technical risk assessment, market engagement and administrative activities to support effective reinsurance broking.
We will count on you to:
* Create and maintain relationships with both clients and reinsurers
* Analyse risk and assist with developing solutions tailored to clients' needs
* Respond to client queries and concerns promptly to maintain client satisfaction
* Support the design, development and marketing of new brokerage products and programs to win new projects
* Assist senior brokers on complex client assignments and keep updated records of progress and issues
* Monitor accounts including payments and collections, anticipating and preventing problems
* Draft policy contracts reflective of bound risk and book accounts within internal systems
What you need to have:
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in underwriting or broking
* Knowledge of reinsurance and casualty insurance is desirable
* Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
* Ability to read and interpret Financial Lines policy wordings
* Experience communicating professionally and credibly with clients
