We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior - Associate Hydrologist/Surface Water Engineer.
About the Position
The successful candidate will have a passion for flood modelling, excellent communication skills, and technical report writing abilities. They will be responsible for delivering surface water engineering projects to a broad range of clients across multiple sectors, undertaking work that involves the application of hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver surface water engineering projects to various clients across different sectors.
* Apply hydrologic and hydraulic modelling software in their work.
* Collaborate with staff to develop models and prepare quality reports for internal and external clients on time and within set expectations.
* Develop, facilitate, and enhance relationships between our internal and external clients and SLR team members.
* Contribute to winning proposals by developing methodologies and identifying the value proposition to assist clients meet their deadlines.
* Provide advice and assistance to internal and external clients, team members, and Project Managers on projects regarding best principles and practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* An appropriate Engineering tertiary qualification and relevant industry experience.
* Extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, particularly the application of two-dimensional hydraulic modelling (TUFLOW).
* Knowledge and experience of associated areas of surface water engineering would be highly regarded such as stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, water quality assessment, streamflow assessments, and flood risk analysis.
* A strong track record in building, nurturing, and maintaining ongoing client relationships.
