Key Responsibilities
Analyse tender documentation and support the internal approval process, including involvement in relevant approval meetings.
Interpret tender requests and contracts to identify key cost factors and estimation foundations.
Gather input for estimates by leveraging internal expertise, historical data, previous submissions, and established budgets.
Collaborate with the Commercial Team to explore alternative pricing models and tendering approaches to enhance win rates.
Develop comprehensive project estimates covering materials, labour, subcontractors, and all related cost components.
Stay informed on current market rates and maintain industry connections to validate estimates and monitor risks, pricing trends, and supplier shifts.
Support the creation of bids and proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment of financial data for client and internal use.
Contribute to risk and opportunity assessments, facilitating estimating discussions during workshops and tender phases.
Assist with the transition of awarded projects to Delivery teams by preparing estimate summaries, cost breakdowns, and budget documentation.
Perform additional duties as reasonably required.
About you
Tertiary education or trade certification in a relevant field
Demonstrated background in electrical estimating within sectors such as transport, utilities, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure
Skilled in using estimation platforms and digital tools
Capable of engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment across project phases
Strong critical thinking abilities and a proactive approach to resolving challenges
Confident and articulate communicator with well-developed interpersonal skills
Highly organised, with the ability to balance competing demands and deadlines
