About the Role
This position will provide comprehensive support throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including resource planning, recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, remuneration, and cultural diversity.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the National Infrastructure People team, the wider People team, and stakeholders across the broader Infrastructure business unit.
Responsibilities
* Provide general assistance to the Human Resource function in implementing HR strategies and projects
* Partner with People Managers to offer operational support and advice related to the employee and project lifecycle
* Build strong relationships through influence and negotiation with employees, managers, and external stakeholder groups across the business
* Continuously seek ways of improving processes and strive towards efficient working methods
* Coordinate strategic programs and initiatives such as Leadership Essentials, Construct your Development Pathway
* Support cyclical People programs like goal setting, end of year performance reviews, engagement surveys, and talent mapping processes
* Offer support regarding people capability queries (induction, onboarding, performance management, and development planning)
* Coordinate national redeployment activities – update resourcing tracker, resume portal, redeployment forms, and distribute weekly emails
* Manage the National People Infrastructure inbox
Qualifications and Requirements
* Post-secondary school training or TAFE certificate in HR, IR/ER, Education, Psychology, or Business
* Degree or higher in Business, Human Resource Management, Legal, Finance, or other relevant disciplines
* Experience in a generalist HR role or similar
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of national and state regulatory frameworks
* Awareness of contractual and commercial matters
* Knowledge of employment legislation
* Experience in HR project work, leading an initiative or desired outcome
* Strong interpersonal skills and social awareness with proven stakeholder management experience, including the ability to maintain confidentiality
* Strong coordination and organisational skills
