Our current project involves assisting the Victorian Government Department of Education (DE) in delivering the Disability Inclusion Profile to all Victorian government schools.
The Role
As a facilitator, you will visit schools in the Outer Gippsland DE area to facilitate Disability Inclusion Profile meetings. You will be part of a team of experienced professionals who will provide support and training throughout the process.
* Deliver the Disability Inclusion Profile in schools within the Outer Gippsland DE area.
* Work with children with additional needs, their families, and their school.
* Participate in extensive training and development activities, including shadowing, initial training, and ongoing training opportunities.
About the Opportunity
This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong understanding of child development, disabilities or learning challenges that students may experience.
* Qualifications as a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist/Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker.
* Current registration with AHPRA/SPA/AASW.
* 5+ years of experience working in/with schools.
* Extensive knowledge of child development, disabilities or learning challenges that students may experience.
* Strong understanding of the principles of inclusion in education.
* Understanding of a strengths-based approach.
* Experience in group facilitation.
* Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail combined with an ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to write concise and accurate reports.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Intermediate computer skills.
* Valid Australian driver licence and reliable own car required for travel.
