- Strong manual handling skills and physical fitness
- Ability to work in hot, dusty, and high-risk environments
- Good situational awareness and hazard recognition
- Ability to follow detailed processes, SWI/SOPs, and communicate via radio
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on day and night rosters
- Full PPE compliance: long sleeves, heat-resistant gear, respirator, gloves, etc.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Exposure to industrial environments such as smelting, mining, or manufacturing
- Prior shift work experience
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
What you'll bring to the table
- Previous experience in heavy industry, trade assistance, labouring, or production roles
- Manual handling capability with a focus on repetitive, physically demanding tasks
- Ability to pass a medical (Medipass), Including Spirometry and D&A; Testing
- Ability to work in a respirator and around magnetic fields
Other requirements:
- Must reside locally in Gladstone, Tannum Sands, or Miriam Vale
- Prepared for high physical demand: lifting up to 25kg, pushing wheelbarrows, raking, and manual skimming
- Willing to work in a high-temperature, dust-filled environment with molten metal and moving machinery
