We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Trainer and Assessorto join our Diploma of Nursing team in Adelaide. This blended role combines laboratory support with training and assessment responsibilities, ensuring a high standard of education and practical skills development for our students.
This role is required on a permanent, part-time basis working three days a week fully onsite in our Adelaide campus.
Key Responsibilities:
* Laboratory Support:
* Prepare and maintain simulation and practical skills labs, including cleaning beds and adhering to general hygiene protocols.
* Manage stock inventory, order consumables, and ensure lab equipment is maintained.
* Assist trainers during practical demonstrations and assessments, providing hands-on support.
* Training and Assessment:
* Provide backup support to the nursing team, including marking written assessments and delivering content in the absence of trainers.
* Deliver engaging training sessions and explain complex ideas in simple terms.
* Contribute to student completion and achievement through effective assessment and feedback.
Selection criteria:
* TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (including LLN)
* Bachelor of Nursing or higher
* Minimum 5 years' Nursing experience with current knowledge and clinical skills
* Current AHPRA registration
* Previous classroom teaching experience (desirable)
* Ability to deliver engaging training sessions
* Previous experience working with International students (desirable)
* Ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team
* Current Police Check
* WWCC
* Unrestricted working rights in Australia
