Empowering Indigenous students to thrive in education and beyond.We are seeking a committed and culturally responsive Community Education Counsellor (Identified) to support Indigenous students within our high school community. This role plays a key part in promoting student wellbeing, cultural identity, engagement, and educational success while strengthening partnerships with families, Elders, and community organisations. This is a temporary part-time position hours per fortnight or 0.60FTE) for a period of 10 months, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* Provide educational counselling and targeted support services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students across multiple schools.
* Design, deliver, and support programs and activities that encourage student engagement and educational participation, in partnership with families.
* Build and maintain strong links with external agencies and support services to advance student wellbeing and educational outcomes.
* Provide advice, information, and guidance to school staff and communities on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander social and cultural perspectives and protocols.
* Support effective use of state and Commonwealth programs and foster productive partnerships within the school community.
Highly Desirable Skills And Experience
* Experience working with Indigenous students, families, or communities
* Strong understanding of Indigenous cultures, histories, and perspectives
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Commitment to culturally respectful and trauma-informed practice
* Relevant qualification in education, youth work, community services, or similar
