Lead Psychosocial Support Service

">

As a Program Manager, you will lead our new Universal Aftercare Service. This non-clinical support service is focused on providing rapid, practical psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide. The role will work closely with peer workers and care coordinators, experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, particularly those that include a peer workforce, is highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate effective and responsive service delivery to clients in crisis that prioritise client safety, dignity, and recovery and promote best practices in crisis intervention and suicide prevention.
">
2. Develop strong relationships with key external stakeholders including other service providers, government agencies and non-government support best practice in a seamless service system.
">
3. Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and data to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with relevant policies and funding requirements.
">
4. Respond to and manage escalated client risks in line with organisational protocols and clinical support structures.

Requirements:

">

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with vulnerable populations, specifically men, including Aboriginal men, through culturally safe and responsive services. A strong grounding in trauma-informed, recovery-oriented practice and a commitment to valuing lived experience will be essential to building trust and fostering genuine connection.

">

Additionally, the successful applicant will demonstrate excellent leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

">

A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing programs or projects that focus on mental health support services is required. A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field is preferred.
