Job Title: EL1 Training Package Design Lead | Location: National | Contract Duration: 12 Months + Possible extension
About the Role:
As an EL1 Training Package Design Lead, your primary responsibility will be to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of training packages that build workforce capability and drive improved outcomes for First Nations people with disability. This position leads end-to-end design plus development and plays a key role in embedding cultural safety into learning experiences and contributes to a positive workplace culture through thoughtful, well-structured training.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop training packages that adhere to adult learning principles.
* Engage effectively with First Nations stakeholders to ensure culturally appropriate content.
* Lead project teams in managing timelines, deliverables, and quality assurance.
* Create a range of learning resources, including facilitator guides and eLearning modules.
* Conduct evaluations to refine training packages for continuous improvement.
* Align training initiatives with broader organizational goals and workforce planning.
* Communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders through written and verbal reports.
* Implement trauma-informed practices in training delivery to ensure psychological safety.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven instructional design expertise with robust portfolio.
* In-depth knowledge of cultural safety and First Nations engagement.
* Strong project leadership and stakeholder collaboration skills.
* Experience in developing varied learning resources tailored to diverse audiences.
* Ability to evaluate programs for effectiveness and relevance.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Education, Training, or a related field.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Eligibility/Requirements:
* Australian citizenship required.
* Must fulfil relevant checks and maintain Baseline clearance.
* Experience in Public Sector or Disability Services is advantageous.
