Community Music Leader Position
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced music leader to direct our community pop choir. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to lead rehearsals, build a positive culture, and prepare the choir for public performances.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct weekly 2-hour choir rehearsals to teach pop repertoire and prepare for performances, with approximately 2 hours of prep time each week.
* Bid to foster a positive and inclusive choir culture, encouraging participation and collaboration among singers.
* Prepare the choir for various events and performances throughout the year.
* Create a dynamic community of singers who share a passion for singing.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a choir director or musical leader, preferably in a community-based setting.
* A dynamic personality and strong performance skills to engage and motivate singers.
* Strong choral conducting and rehearsal techniques, with an ability to inspire and motivate singers.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build a positive and inclusive choir culture.
* A passion for sharing the joy of music and creating meaningful experiences for singers.
