What You’ll Do!
As a Graduate Hydraulic and Fire Engineer at Northrop, you will:
* Design of Fire and Hydraulics services as part of a broader team within the Built Environment: Hospitals, Education Facilities, Sporting Facilities, Commercial Mixed Use Developments.
* Exposure to design of wet fire systems, hot and cold water supply, drainage, wastewater and sewer systems within a building.
* Carry out site investigations under the supervision and guidance of an experienced engineer.
* Assist in preparation of design documentation of hydraulic services.
* Work on multi-disciplinary design projects liaising with Civil, Sustainability and Building Services teams.
* Collaborate with external stakeholders including architects, developers, commercial builders and local/state government bodies

We’re looking for graduates who are:
* Completing or recently completed a degree in
o Water & Waste Engineering
o Mechanical
o Plumbing Trade background
o Hydraulic Drafting or
o Diploma of Hydraulic Services Design are preferrable
* Previous experience working as an Undergraduate Engineer
* Passionate, curious, proactive, and ready to grow
* Strong communicators who enjoy collaborating
* Problem‑solvers who think creatively and practically
* Able to work both independently and within a team
* Passionate about starting a long‑term consulting engineering career

* Pappinbarra Bridge: The new bridge was designed as a single lane structure capable of supporting SM1600 design loading in accordance with AS5100 (Civil - Newcastle)
* Gore Hill Data Centre (NSW): Civil design supporting a resilient digital infrastructure hub.
* Stromlo Leisure Centre (ACT): Civil design for a major community aquatic and recreation precinct.
* TAFE IATC (ACT): Civil and structural solutions supporting the future of Australia’s construction workforce.
