Co-Console Technician
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Co-Console Technician, where you will be responsible for configuring and administering the completions management system Co-Console. As a representative between the shipyard and IT, you will facilitate workshops with internal stakeholders and partners to develop effective process and software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Scope business requirements for managing completion activities; develop effective process and software solutions with internal stakeholders and partners.
* Engage with applications administrators within IMT to ensure the most suitable solution is delivered into the shipyard.
* Establish requirements and assist in building data integrations between shipyard systems.
* Work with the supplier to align configuration and development of the toolset to meet business requirements.
* Plan, monitor, and control delivery against the implementation plan with IM&T Project Teams and software OEM.
* Assist in the development and testing of new capabilities within the system – identifying and managing observations and defects to completion.
* Develop a suite of user-level/work package level metrics and management reports to enable effective use of completions data.
* Assist in the configuration of completions information, focusing on operational efficiency.
* Actively build and manage the development of the system with the Completions Management working group.
Requirements:
* Prior experience in both shipbuilding and processes involved in the build, test, and commissioning of ship systems and structures.
* Previous experience working with suppliers to define and deliver requirements.
* Knowledge of quality, testing, commissioning, and acceptance requirements within large engineering projects.
* Ability to devise reports and queries that accurately show the completion status of the project.
* Capacity to document future business requirements and proactively make improvements to the systems/processes involved.
