**The Roles**
The Employment Services Programs Branch is seeking motivated and enthusiastic program officers at the APS 5 level to join their team. The Branch offers an environment where collaboration and problem solving are celebrated and high performance is valued and expected.

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, Program Managers will be responsible for assisting in the management of operational aspects of employment and pre-employment programs, working on a range of tasks to ensure the consistent delivery of the programs. The role may also involve assisting in the development, delivery and implementation of new policy and other related activities.

The Employment Services Programs Branch supports the effective servicing of participant cohorts across the employment services system through Workforce Australia Services, Transition to Work, ParentsNext and Time to Work Employment Service. This includes improving program settings to better meet the needs of participants, including disadvantaged cohorts, supporting greater collaboration of providers of different programs including those delivered by other government departments, and empowering providers to build their own capacity to tailor support to the needs of participants.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities may include:

- Assisting in operations and management of employment and pre-employment programs
- Analysing documents and data to provide input to program related briefings, presentations, advice, and other correspondence and papers as required
- Developing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and providing program and policy advice and other related material
- Providing high quality support to their Senior Program Manager, Assistant Director and Director as required, to ensure effective and efficient program delivery.

- Initiative and good judgement with the ability to think critically and strategically in a rapidly changing environment.
